Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid Claims Comey Withholding Data on Russians and Trump, Provides No Evidence

Patrick J. Buchanan, who has been in Washington politics for nearly half a century, sums up the final week’s terminal tailspin of the Clinton campaign:

The Weiner-Abedin laptop [obtained by the FBI with the assistance of the NYPD and now opened with a search warrant – JWS] contains 650,000 emails.

The FBI has not yet reviewed Abedin’s emails, and they could turn out to be duplicates of those the FBI has already seen, benign, or not relevant to the investigation of Clinton.

But it does appear that Abedin misled the FBI when she told them all communications devices containing State Department work product were turned over to State when she departed in 2013.

Clinton, understandably, was stunned and outraged by Comey’s letter. For it casts a cloud of suspicion over her candidacy by raising the possibility that the FBI director could reverse his decision of July, and recommend her prosecution.

By Monday, Oct. 31, new problems had arisen, some potentially crippling or possibly lethal to a Clinton presidency.

Reporters have unearthed a near-mutiny inside the FBI over the decision to shut down the investigation of the Clinton email scandal and Comey’s recommendation of no prosecution.

Andrew McCabe, No. 2 at the FBI, has come under anonymous fire from inside the bureau as one of those most reluctant to pursue aggressively any investigations of the Clintons.

McCabe’s wife, in a 2015 state senate race in Virginia, received $475,000 in PAC contributions from Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a longtime friend and major fundraiser for Bill and Hillary Clinton.

After the Senate race that McCabe’s wife lost, he was promoted from No. 3 at the FBI to No. 2, where he has far more influence over decisions to investigate and recommend prosecution.

Justice Department higher-ups under Attorney General Loretta Lynch apparently disagreed with Comey notifying Congress, and the nation, to new developments in the email scandal. Yet Comey had given his word to Congress that he would do so.

In the Southern District of New York, which has jurisdiction over the Weiner sexting investigation, FBI agents have reportedly been blocked from opening an investigation into charges of corruption in the Clinton Foundation.

This follows revelations that corporate chiefs and foreign rulers and regimes, hit up for contributions to the Clinton Foundation, were then urged by an ex-Clinton aide to provide six-figure speaking fees for Bill Clinton.

Not only is Anthony Weiner cooperating with the FBI in exchange for greater leniency at a potential sentencing over alleged intimate selfie contacts with underage teenage girl/s, but it’s come out in The UK Daily Mail that Huma Abedin and other Clinton confidantes reportedly knew about said activities in 2011 — and didn’t report Weiner to authorities. After spending her entire adult life as Hillary Clinton’s ‘body woman’ and perhaps lesbian lover, Abedin has now dropped out of sight, and is being described by the failing Clinton campaign as ‘just another aide’. While the 650,000 emails found on the Weiner/Abedin laptop draw most of the press coverage, the FBI’s criminal investigation into pay to play and foreign influence peddling in return for donations to the Clinton Foundation while Mrs. Clinton was Secretary of State continues. So too, does the steady drip drip of former White House chief of staff John Podesta emails being published by Wikileaks that include the ‘sheik’-down of Saudi billionaire Mohammed Hussein Ali Al-‘Amoudi, as well as a ‘happy birthday Bill’ donation to the Clinton Foundation by the Qataris in return for appearances by the ex-President.

Recall what the Russia Analyst has written previously on this topic: those who scream ‘Russians!’ the loudest, such as ex deputy CIA director Mike Morell, have the most to hide regarding their own ties to foreign interests specifically the Sunni Arab Gulf states led by Saudi Arabia Hillary herself admitted in an email were funding terrorism. Furthermore, as Roger J. Stone and others have alleged, Huma Abedin herself may be an agent of the Muslim Brotherhood as her parents most certainly were and worked with Islamist charities linked to terror financing after raising her for several years in the Saudi Kingdom.

The Huma-Weiner marriage of convenience between the attractive but careerist Abedin and the perpetual horndog embarrassment that has been Weiner since well before 2013 seems to, like in the TV show House of Cards, been maintained as much by mutual blackmail and wealth/power seeking as affection. With Weiner now having exposed his estranged wife via his ‘insurance file’ to charges of lying to FBI investigators for denying that she placed any classified emails from Hillary on other devices, it will be interesting to see if Abedin herself decides to cooperate or takes one for team Clinton. Given Hillary’s ongoing implosion in the polls and the prospect of witness protection against any ‘Arkancide’ ahead of trial, we are counting on the former.

Faced with the now impossible task of spinning away and pretending the FBI investigation is a ‘nothing burger’, Democrat hacks like Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid or Robert Caruso can only scream ‘Russians!’ louder:

“In my communications with you and other top officials in the national security community, it has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisers, and the Russian government—a foreign interest openly hostile to the United States, which Trump praises at every opportunity,” Reid wrote to the FBI Director Sunday evening.

“The public has a right to know this information. I wrote to you months ago calling for this information to be released to the public. There is no danger to American interests from releasing it. And yet, you continue to resist calls to inform the public of this critical information.”

Reid has something of a habit of making bombshell assertions that don’t pan out—his 2012 accusation that Mitt Romney paid no taxes come to mind. But in this case, Reid may not be pulling this “explosive information” allegation out of thin air.

Reid had previously written to Comey to investigate, among other things, the meetings between Russian officials and Page. Reid’s letter followed an intelligence briefing he received about the hacks on the DNC and Russian efforts to interfere with the election, two individuals with knowledge of the matter told The Daily Beast. (Page denies the meetings ever happened.)

The trouble for Harry Reid and the Democrats is, the FBI cannot find any evidence of direct links between Donald J. Trump or his campaign to the Russian government. The best the presstitutes desperate to prevent a Trump presidency have managed to come up with is one lousy ‘secret server’ which in fact was not hidden and belonged to the Trump organization pinging back and forth with a server for the Moscow-based Alfa Bank. However, even Slate reporter Franklin Foer has admitted he has no solid evidence that the data exchanged between the Trump and Moscow based servers included any actual human contact through email or chats.

The Trump organization has hired an IT firm which has concluded the data consisted of automatic (read: spam) emails advertising stays in Trump hotels. Certainly if the communications contained anything of the substance, our friends at the National Security Agency (NSA) and Great Britain’s 5Eyes SIGINT alliance partner GCHQ would have something to share with the FBI about it:

Foer and his sources aren’t the only ones who have been interested in the flow of traffic between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank. The FBI, the New York Times, and other media organizations have all investigated the story. And so far none of them seem to believe that they’ve unearthed signs of a secret link between Trump and the Kremlin:

F.B.I. officials spent weeks examining computer data showing an odd stream of activity to a Trump Organization server and Alfa Bank. Computer logs obtained by The New York Times show that two servers at Alfa Bank sent more than 2,700 “look-up” messages — a first step for one system’s computers to talk to another — to a Trump-connected server beginning in the spring. But the F.B.I. ultimately concluded that there could be an innocuous explanation, like a marketing email or spam, for the computer contacts.

“At least five outlets including The Intercept have been looking at this for weeks and decided it didn’t add up,” tweeted Sam Biddle, a reporter at the Intercept, on Monday evening. He added that “The Trump/Alfa story could be true, but we all looked at the same data Foer did and it just won’t take you to that conclusion.”

Translation: the FBI didn’t find any actual connections between The Donald and the Russian government, and Trump has been telling the American people the truth about that in the presidential debates and on the campaign trail. Whatever alleged affinity exists between Trump and Putin or determination to create detente in U.S.-Russia relations Trump has is not due to any sort of hidden conspiracy or bribe from Moscow. And while Democrats can point to the relationship between former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and the coup-ousted government of Viktor Yanukovych in Ukraine, the FBI continues to investigate not only Manafort but also Tony Podesta John Podesta’s brother, regarding allegations of failing to register as foreign agents under the FARA law.

Other than wealthy Russians buying condos or staying at his buildings and resorts and the oft-discussed Mrs. Universe pageant in Moscow from 2013 that Putin declined to attend, there is no there there. And that’s a bitter pill for Social Justice Cold Warriors (SJCWs) Robert ‘I call Shi’a rafidah like a Saudi Wahhabi preacher but I’m a red-blooded American’ Caruso and Casey ‘Michelle’ to swallow. No wonder James ‘corporal cueball’ Carville is left to sputter that the GOP, FBI and Russians are all in cahoots. The Democrats have nothing on Trump and the Kremlin and are staring at a humiliatiing Trumpslide on November 8.

  1. I have a question after viewing the Huma Abedin video. Most of the information I was aware of long ago….however I have never understood how Sharia Law and Hillary’s policies on abortion and same sex marriage could live together. While Hillary’s policies may be whatever is expedient to her ambition, surely the Muslim Brotherhood beliefs are entrenched. Can you explain to this naif what is really going on?

    • If the Guerrilla’s sources are correct, Huma was perhaps a deep cover Saudi/MBO asset. But the Saudis and MBO supposedly have a lot of tensions, Qatar has been the main bankroller of the Brotherhood which is also at war with the Egyptian government of General Sisi and his allies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who according to RM contributor The Prince are basically frenemies with Riyadh.
One interesting tweet I saw today related to the ongoing battle of Aleppo: the jihadists captured some brand new ammo still in the Egyptian boxes from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA). Meaning Gen. Sisi is sending military aid to his fellow secular opponent of the jihadists in Assad. And there are rumors the Egyptian Army may be sending regular advisers to assist the SAA which would put them on the same side of the Syrian civil war as Israel’s enemy the Lebanese Hezbollah despite Egypt and Israel being on good terms.
It may be that a corollary of the Putin-Bibi ‘deal’ that has been struck involving Israeli Leviathian gas from the eastern Med being included in the Turkstream pipeline that Russia does not let Hezbollah operate too close to Israel’s Golan Heights border, only the SAA there, and restricts the flow of more advanced Russian weaponry to the Hezbollah. However there is no doubt the Hezbollah’s best young soldiers have learned from Putin’s ‘Polite People’ how to better deploy Russian-made Kornet anti-tank missiles, how to set heavy machine gun ambushes and more accurately fire mortars etc to fight the jihadis and their suicide VBIEDs in Aleppo. Speaking of which, the Al-Qaeda/Nusra offensive with all the U.S.-backed ‘moderate’ jihadi groups has run into a buzzsaw and turned into a meatgrinder for the takfiris, who took big losses without gaining much ground. The SAA learned from their Russian trainers how to pre-sight arty and mortar fire so the jihadis had to drive their Toyota jihad technicals across open terrain to get to urban cover and got blasted.
Meanwhile in Iraq the Shi’a PMU are blocking the escape routes for ISIS from Mosul that they planned to use to flee to Syria. And Baghdad has told the Turks to stay out of Mosul or it will be war. I don’t expect the Sultan’s army given all the purges to be itching for a fight against the Iraqis — they can ask the U.S. how occupying Iraq worked out for Americans.

      • Thank you for taking the time to send so much information. Just read of Aoun becoming head of state in Lebanon, which factored interestingly into your read.

  2. This has been a wild afternoon.
    First I noticed this:
Investmentwatch is claiming that Michele Obama has just scrubbed 4 years of tweets regarding Hillary:
Then a couple hours later, Infowars pointed out that Obama and Elizabth Warren are no longer following Hillary on Social media.
Then at about 6 P.M. central time Alex Jones announced a soft coup against Hillary had taken place.

  3. After Soros openly admitted that Trump will win the popular vote by a landslide(That’s before the reopening by Comey) and that however Trump will LOSE the electoral vote it begs the question: how does Trump deal with the electoral vote rigging? Does he have an ace up his sleeve that nobody knows about? Soros is the boss… if he says that the electoral vote is all buttoned up… you have to believe him! Does anyone have an idea how Trump will deal with this fact… ? Unless her Hitlery is completely out of the picture I think Trump is cooked and everything else he does is futile unless there’s a strategy in play to remove her from voting day. Does anyone have an opinion… ?

  4. @Spurr I’ve seen that video. As convicing as it seems to be, it’s a doctored version of another video where Soros says very different things. It’s a fake, bluntly.
